Nanking (pictured), main city of the Jangsu Province recently probed economic perspectives in Genoa and Liguria with a mission of businessmen which played guests to the city, honoured and welcomed by the association of Genoese industrialists, Confindustria Genova.
The chinese delegation, led by Consul Gu Hong Lin has been dispatched in response to the political-economical visit paid bu Regional President of Liguria Claudio Burlando last September, which inaugurated a new era of contacts between the tiny Italian Region and the burgeoning Asian giant. Jangsu and Liguria share a feature being both coastal territories, with growth perspectives in maritime business, electronics, research and nautical engineering.
Jangsu produces yearly 10 percent of the rapidly increasing wealth of China, while hosting less than 6 per cent of its population, undoubtably a promising partner for Liguria, as Regional Assessor for Economic growth Renzo Guccinelli and Franco Aprile, President of Liguria International both agreed.
