"We are convinced Indonesia`s economy will grow by over six percent next year because the economic growth would be fueled by steady growth of primary commodities and increased consumption," Assistant Vice President of PT Bank Panin Susanto AH said here on Thursday.

He said a global economic upheaval caused by world crude price hikes and the US subprime mortgage problem would affect economic growth in European countries and the United States.

"But the global economic upheaval should not worry Indonesia as the government still has a big amount of foreign exchange reserves," Susnato said.
