OPEC crude price continues to drop

Vienna (ANTARA News) - The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) dropped by 1.37 dollars, continuing a downward trend, officials said Wednesday
One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude stood at 83.84 dollars on Tuesday, compared with 85.21 dollars the previous day, DPA reported citing the calculations by the OPEC Secretariat.
Since January 1, the price for crudes produced by the 13 cartel members has dropped by almost 10 dollars.
OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 12 important brands produced by its member states. (*) END
