Pongy pits pose frock shock

SO you've drunk too much, partied too hard and spent way too much money. A headache tablet will get rid of a lot of the pain from last night, but how do you undo your overspend?

Alarmingly, many women these days try to take back their purchases after they've worn them out on the town.

The thought may cross your mind on a day like today, after spending all your hard-earned money on that sparkly cocktail dress you just had to have for New Year's Eve.

Reality sets in and it dawns on you that you may never wear the frock again.

Sharon Fletcher from the Dot Wears a Dress boutique at Palm Beach said she'd caught a few women trying to return pongy party frocks they'd bought for a special occasion.

"We can tell because the dresses tend to walk in themselves," giggles Sharon.

Sharon said she didn't see it a lot with almost all garments returned with their tags intact.

So what gives it away?

"We generally check under the arms and look over the fabric of the dress ... smelly armpits are a dead giveaway," she giggles again.

Shop talk is that all garments must be clean and dry before they will be taken back - and minus champagne spills.
