RI, China agree to expand trade ties

The Indonesian and Chinese governments agreed to promote their economic and political relations.
This was disclosed in a closed-door meeting between President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao on the sidelines of the 13th Asean summit in Singapore on Tuesday.
Presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal who also attended by bilateral meeting said the strategic partnership in various sectors between the two countries had been increasing.
He said that in 2007 (January through September) trade between the two countries reached 18.5 billion US dollars, an increase compared to last year`s.
