The 3rd Summit of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) was concluded on Sunday afternoon with the issuance of a declaration on "Challenge of Globalization and Dynamic Global Energy Market Change", "Energy for Sustainable Development", and "Energy and Environment".
The last session of the summit opened on Saturday was attended by all the chief delegates consisting of heads of government or government representatives from the 13 OPEC member countries, including Indonesian Vice President M. Yusuf Kalla.
King Abdullah presiding the meeting asked OPEC Secretary General Abdullah Salem Al-Badri to read out the Declaration.
The 14-point Challenge of Globalization and Dynamic Energy Market Change among others called for continued oil supplies to the world market in adequate quantity, on time, efficiently, economically and reliably.
