VP: Switch from dollar to euro in oil transactions must be discussed first

Vice President M Jusuf Kalla said Indonesia agreed to Iran`s proposal that oil transactions would be carried out in the euro or in any other currency, and no longer in the US dollar, but further discussions on the matter would have to be conducted first.
The vice president wo is attending an Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) summit in Riyadh, made the remark to newsmen after meeting Iran`s President Ahmadinejad at the hotel here where the Iranian delegation was staying, on Sunday.
Kalla said Iran`s proposal on the currency switch in oil transactions would be discussed further at a meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Senegal next year.
