A member of a Hot Shot crew from out of state will be heading back home after breaking his leg while fighting the Tin Cup Fire which is burning near Darby.
Fire officials tell us the firefighter fell about 20 feet in steep terrain and he fractured his lower leg while also suffering some bumps and scrapes. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby medical facility where his leg was put in a brace.
Two other firefighters sustained minor injuries, but didn't require hospitalization.
Meanwhile lightning an increased winds moved over the Darby area Thursday night after crews tried to hit the fire as hard as possible on Thursday to keep the it within the containment lines. The blaze has grown to 580 acres and fire officials say it's 60% contained.
Around 40 homes have been evacuated and residents of another 47 have been warned they may be the next to go.
