"Pinch your ears like your mom used to!" joked Sam Wong as he led a ritual warm up exercise for the Montreal Thunder at the Olympic Basin in Jean Drapeau Park yesterday.

Wong is one of the 22-member crew that rowed their dragon boat team to a second-place finish in a qualifying race at the 11th annual Montreal International Dragon Boat Festival yesterday.
