A proposal for a new green power station at Port Talbot's deep water harbour has been met with further opposition.

Port Talbot Chat reported yesterday that local Sandfields East Councillor, Lella James, of the Independent Party, has started a petition opposing the plans (see Local Sandfields councilor mounts petition against power plant). Now, however, she is joined by Sandfields East Labour Councillors, Colin Crowley and Ted Latham, who have also launched a campaign against the proposal to build the 350MW wood burning power station.
