Three Palestinians were killed by in an IAF air strike targeting a minivan
allegedly belonging to a Hamas militant in GazaCity according to a report in The Jerusalem Post. The IDF said that the vehicle was carrying kassams and other weaponry.

Israeli tanks in Northern Gaza fired five shells near a housing project dismantling a kassam launch in the area. Similar activities took place throughout the Northern Gaza Strip.

At least 15 people have been killed since the IDF began operations in Gaza to stem to rocket attacks into Israel.

This morning, Israeli warplanes attacked Hamas headquarters building near the Karni border crossing. Five people were killed and six wounded according to a report in the New York Times. Other strikes hit a Hamas building in Central Gaza but no casualties were reported.

Egypt's ambassador to Israel, Muhammad Ibrahim, supported the Israeli attacks saying, “Every country is entitled to defend its borders and its people.” He also lamented the Palestinian in-fighting.

“Something very bad is happening. Palestinians are killing each other in the last few days, I think more than 50 casualties and tens of injuries and destroyed property. The Israeli retaliation, because of what’s happening in Sderot, can also complicate the situation. You have to stop the hostile activities immediately. Casualties from every side are falling" as was reported in the New York Times.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas reportedly called Condoleeza Rice and asked her to encourage Israelto stop the "military escalation" according to a Palestinian news agency and a report in the New York Times.

Meanwhile, at least 15 kassam rockets hit the Western Negev
Friday. Three kassams fell in Sderot wounding four people lightly. Others were treated for shock.

IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi to view damage, meet with Sderot mayor Eli Moyal and offer his support for the people there. Twenty kassams fell on the town Thursday and 1,000 residents were evacuated to hotels for a break from the attacks.
