Motel Fire in Tampa, FL

CNN reports that a fire is raging in a large motel in Tampa, FL. The motel is reportedly under construction and fire crews are working to extinguish the fire. No one is believed to be in the motel.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on scene at a fire at a Best Western Hotel under construction at 3826 Waters Ave.

The fire started on the 4th floor about 10:45 Friday morning and the building is almost completely engulfed.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue chief Ray Yeakley said all the workers in the building have gotten out safely. No firefighters have entered the building.
About 60 firefighters are on the scene.
