Mother Martyrs

The reaction of a mother, appalled to learn her son was heading off to war, is common. But there is a long and fascinating history around mothers who have encouraged their children into battle. A new book written by Canadian Author, Suzanne Evans, explores that history of mothers giving their children up for "the cause" from Biblical times all the way through Canadian history. Her book is called, Mothers of Heroes, Mothers of Martyrs.
