April 20, 2007 California - A special effects fireball on a movie set caused a real-life blaze at the Daily Breeze building in Torrance on Thursday, forcing workers to evacuate while firefighters doused the flames. The blaze ignited in the newspaper's former pressroom about 9:20 p.m. during filming of The Pineapple Express, which has used the Breeze building at 5215 Torrance Blvd. as a movie set for several weeks.
