Mr Choudhury on his date in court

Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury is on trial in Bangladesh--and the potential penalty is death--for 'praising Jews and Christians', 'attempting to travel to Israel' and by trying "to damage the image and relations of Bangladesh with the outside world", as I have noted here.  Yesterday, the court heard his plea of 'not guilty'; his essay describing the day is published at Israel Insider.  The court will hear witnesses in January 2007.
