I Mr. Miner Mengal a Pakistani National has managed to come UAE- Dubai. I am professionally a Chartered Accountant and completed my Articles from KPMG-Pakistan and Audited various high portfolio Organizations in Pakistan and was enjoying a prestigious life over there. Once I saw Baloch people including females were sitting at Karachi Press Club on a hunger strike in 2005. I myself went to hear them. They were raising voice for Dr. Hanif Sharif. Whom the Govt. Intelligencia abducted from Turbat. He was sitting in Turbat Literary Society. For months, they were not presenting him to any court and his family members were not aware of his know bouts.
However, the real fact which pinched me more and turned my life” was that no media were ready to cover their agitation”. Due to the following reasons;
1) As they were not familiar to their language (Balochi) the mode of communication. And no organization was taking the responsibility to raise the voice of Baloch’s.
2) The Government of Pakistan for various reasons wants to keep the Baloch and Balochi language suppressed. That is why the Govt. is doing its all efforts to destroy Baloch People, Baloch's Economy, Balochs Political Ideology, Balochi language, Balochi culture, Balochi Music and even Baloch’s History.
After several days of depression and analyzing the whole conditions prevailing in Pakistan, I decided to launch a Balochi language Television. I took this decision after a deep analysis of Balochi language, Culture, Music, History, Economy and Political conditions over there.
I came to Dubai where we sketched an evaluation plan for Balochi language Television channel with the help of Emirates Financial Management Consultants and other respective organizations. We submitted our application to Dubai Media City for satellite T.V. channel license, and then I also went to Pakistan and applied to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority (PEMRA) for the airing rights and license as well. Then I came back to Dubai where our negotiations with legal, financial, satellite technology, Software development, and other various organizations were progressing. On 25th March 2006 I went to Bahrain, there was a Musical program arranged by Baloch Club Bahrain. Where I and Fatima Al Baloshi were the chief guests. After that I received a call from PEMRA. Asking me to come to Pakistan, they want to discuss with me certain issues with respect to Baloch Voice channel license.
On 4th April 2006 I went to Pakistan by Ittihad Air lines. At four thirty morning, we reached at Karachi International Air port. While I went to immigration counter to stamp my passport. There was Air Check on my name, so they took me into a room where after an hour a Brigadier came, he was the Provincial Head of Military Intelligence of Sindh province.
At 5pm, they evacuated the Air port and brought Eight Army Vehicles and drove me to Karachi Malir Cantt.
Where I was for 16 months in a tomb like cell. Where they used every sort of torture to me.
They detail story of prison I want to open in front of international Media. By which the world may recognize how the Islamofacist army is reacting to the media to hide the realities and truth from the world.
On 4th August 2007 I was handed over to police at Hub Chowki, they brought me to Khuzdar Jail under MPO-3. Then the Balochistan high court gave orders for my release on 10 September 2007. The CID police abducted me from Quetta ATF jail and took me to CID centre. After 15 days, they presented me to ATC and Session court for the charges of launching a Balochi Language Television. Where the court gave my release order and equited me from all charges. But the police authorities told me you are under custody Under MPO-16.
The government can detain someone under MPO for not more than three months, but I was detained for Five months and twenty days.
On 22nd February 2008 the Military Intelligence Officers once again tried to abduct me from Quetta Central Jail, but I rejected to go with them at any cost. I told them…..
Either let me to die or leave me in this Jail.
Today the whole world sees that Munir is in a condition of begging for his Life Safety and begging for Food and Shelter.
So on my refusal and by my thread that I and my family will comit suicide so they left me that time in the jail. At night around 1 am superintendent jail came to me and told me you are free, and you go from here. I told him that after several release orders by the court you have not released me. So now at mid night by whom directions you are releasing me. Please give me release orders. He said no there are no documents. So I got his intentions that Intellegence is intending to abduct me once again at this mid night time.
I refused to get out, and I told him as per Jail Rules no one is allowed to go out and inter inside of Central jail and I showed him a copy of jail Rules which I showed him. Then after 10 minutes the Deputy Superintendent came and told me the above stated story.
I denied going outside of Jail and my neighbor custodian's Mama Allam Pirkani and Mir Abdul Nabi Bangulzai also objected on this forceful and illegal abduction of me from the Jail.
On 23rd February in the morning, The Superintendent Officer called me in his office and told me to go outside of jail as you have been released. I told him to give me release order and allow me to contact my family members so that no Intelligencia should abduct me again. He refused to give me permission to contact family members, so I also denied going away without informing my family members.
At last around 12pm on 23rd February 2008 I managed to contact my family members I managed to go to my home at Quetta.
However, just after 15 minutes as we reached home the Intelligencia and Police officials sealed my house so no one was allowed to come, and I was not allowed to go outside of my home. All phone connections were cut off, electricity was also cut down and Mobile phones were jammed by a Jammer.
On 10th April, I was allowed to go to Kalat my family house in Kalat under police squad.
All this detention was illegal and no documents were provided to me for my detention/House Arrest. The Intelligence people were continuously threading me if I appealed to the court, they kill my whole family.
Most of Print Media in Balochistan were trying to contact me but police and intelligence people were not allowing them to meet me.
On June 2008 a Journalist of AASAP Daily Publications managed to get inside of home and meet me and contact to BBC dot com and BBCurdu radio. I gave an interview to them. Next day the Print media gave headlines about my illegal House detention. So the Chief Minister Balochistan contacted me on the phone and ordered for some relaxation. The chief minister and Haji Lashkari Raisani the Peoples Party Balochistan President told me not to enter in any city area.
So I contacted UNHCR Pakistan office for protection. They told me that they cannot do anything until I am in Pakistan. So try to go outside of Pakistan. Once you get outside of Pakistan then they can arrange protection for me.
So I very confidentially got a Visa and came to Dubai.
I would like to give the details of my imprisonment to electronic and print media how they tortured and why president Musharraf and Tariq Aziz came to meet me, and what they asked me and how they threaded me for consequences of launching a Balochi language independent TV channel while I was abducted.
Yes dear this is the real picture of one's who tried to do something for raising the voice of humanity, the voice of a depressed nation. Raising the voice of an abducted Nation is a crime and the real picture of criminality is Munir Mengal.
The sensational voices which I have heard in Military Intelligence Tomb those were not voices of dead people but of live people. In reality, there is no one to raise the voices of chained Nations.
I request all the respectable organizations to please join hands with me to raise the voice of a dying Nation. It is not only a matter of Munir Mengal's Life and his shelter, but it is a matter of media and of a depressed nation. If the Intelligencia thinks that after Munir, there will be no one to raise their voice. I tell the whole world that the media today had risen to such a condition that it will be hard for someone to dump the voice of a nation, the voice of truth and reality.
