According to ShowBiz Data, Rob Zombie's Halloween remake made an estimated 10.9 million on Friday. It is on its way to setting a new Labor Day weekend record with an estimated 31-33 million dollars. 2005's Transporter 2 currently holds the record with $20 million.

Have you seen this one yet? If so, we'd love a review. I'm a fan of the original (but not the sequels) and I like Rob Zombie's cinematic sensibilities, even though I wasn't a fan of House of 1000 Corpses.

One of my favorite recent DVD moments was the menu section of House of 1000 Corpses. Rufus T. Firefly the devil clown is there, and tolerates your presence for a while. But then he leaves. If you are still watching by the time he comes back, he looks you squarely in the face and says, "Well, s_ _t the bed! You still here?"
I liked both of the film where Rufus and friends appeared, and am raring to see this one.
