Myspace: Ukraine Band Tops Competition

www: The leader of the polls this week on "Myspace´s Top Band" is facing a new challenge - voting ends at midnight GMT.

ABANDA SHAKE from Kyiv, Ukraine (actually: "Antarctica") last sunday
gained the lead from FORMER HUMAN BEINGS, a mixed crew of artists from
London, LA and Brazil.

ABANDA SHAKE, with a distinctive style they call "Global Pop", is the project of two artists, Natali Dali and Dimitris Krist.

Krist is musician, arranger, composer and performs the complete
sound-producing for the project - recording, editing, progging, mixing,
mastering.

Dali mostly composes melodies and writes lyrics for the songs, but she
also takes part in sound editing, arranging, producing, video
production, montage and artwork and design.

Music and style of this multi-talented Eastern Europeans fit to each
other, steady Pop rhythms meet complaisantly hooks and female singer
Natali catches eyes & ears with her special Ice Princess
allurement.

At the other extreme, the band FORMER HUMAN BEINGS represents an
extremly innovative direction of what they call " Electronica".

Highly impressive instrumentalists, amazing rythm section but sometimes
strange chords and melodies made this band public´s favourite for weeks.

Now there is just one more to go.

Also still in the race: Street Hip Hopper ALKEYMAN from "Pennyslavia,
USA" and rockin´ NEEDLESS from Newcastle/Durham, Great Britain.

Unfortunately eliminated: MASSDRIVER from Oslo, Norway, who sound like
a time-travelling Gary Numan who returned from the future with
brilliant ideas.

Though very popular by votes, the band was disliked by some competition judges.
