In Vancouver, I prefer the Irish Heather, since it's stumbling distance from work. Abroad, I keep my favorites secret, since they're rather out-of-the-way places...

Oh, and the now-defunct Baron's in Kings Cross, Sydney. A stellar upstairs divey loungey place with deep, comfy couches and suitably sticky tables.
