Nanaimo Raiders Junior Football Team clinched their second Canadian Campionship in as many years yesterday.  The final score was 51 for the Nanaimo Raiders 14 for the Edmonton Wildcats.

The BCFC champion Vancouver Island Raiders survived a tough first quarter and came on strong from that point on to roll to a 51-14 Canadian Bowl victory over the PFC champion Edmonton Wildcats  Saturday afternoon in front of an enthusiastic home crowd at Nanaimo’s Caledonia Park for their second straight national title.

Underlining the lopsided score for the Canadian Junior Football Championship, Raiders players were named as Defensive Player and Offensive Player of the game.  The powerhouse Nanaimo Raiders finished another remarkable year with a perfect win record.
