NASA Discovery launch delayed by cracked fuel tank

The space shuttle Discovery's external fuel tank has developed a crack in its foam insulation. NASA managers are meeting to determine whether to try to repair the crack or fly as-is. The next launch attempt had been planned for Tuesday, 4 July.
