NBC has both the right and the unemtional restraint not to buy into "the hype".
Typical, the 'Chicks' do not like it when someone or some enterprise does not share a view from the one they share ... but one does not see NBC whineing over the 'Chicks' protest.
Gee maybe it's because freedom of speech works both sides of the street. The remarks were not just Disparaging to President Bush, but to their fan base, their state and their country. The Dixie Chicks decided to spew their bile and hatred toward their country, their fans and their President, and, apparently, enough people did not like what they said.
The Dixie Chicks are not poor victims here, they choose to make their stand and now they reap the repercussions of it.
