New JW Marriot Hotel Grand Rapids Owned By Amway Hotel Corporation

GRAND RAPIDS -- A sleek new JW Marriott Hotel, the first in the Midwest owned by the Amway Hotel Corporation, which also owns the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel will open on September 21st, 2007 in downtown Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids beat out Chicago, Milwaukee and Cleveland for the $100-million hotel which should help achieve the city's goal of drawing more conventions. The new hotel will give Grand Rapids 1,200 hotel rooms downtown.
