New Chief Minister for Birmingham Hebrew Congregation by Simply Simon Williams

RABBI YOSSI JACOB will become the youngest Chief Minister in the 150 year history of Birmingham Hebrew Congregation. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> “It is a great honour to take the position, I look forward to serving the Birmingham community in the foreseeable future” said Rabbi Jacobs. The appointment will take effect in November 2007 with the current Chief Minister, Rabbi Tann taking the office of Senior Minister who will support and maintain an active role in the community. “The leadership of Rabbi and Rebbetsen Jacobs, together with the support of Rabbi Tann, will provide a well balanced team to assist long term with the revitalisation programme of Singers Hill” the Executive said.
