So here you are at an online news site where the stories are generated by its readers.

Maybe you have a cell phone with a camera, or a digital camera in your pocket. On Tuesday, what's preventing you from going out to vote with your mind made up and your camera at the ready?

At NowPublic, we're urging our members to Snap The Vote.

In the Iraqi elections of last January voters proudly held up ink-stained fingers. Now whatever you think about the American invasion and occupation of Iraq, common folks there had a blast making their voices heard.

We think it's time Americans also came to the polls with a sense of adventure instead of a feeling of dread.

Snap The Vote! Show us where you voted - the people who voted around you.

Please make sure you respect local and federal laws about the use of camera in polling areas...but get your photos in as soon as you can!

If you upload to flickr, please tag your photos with:

We'll be featuring the best that come in so get your batteries charged!

Many thanks,
