New roofs to brighten up market stalls

A LONG-ESTABLISHED market has been given a make-over.

In a project initiated by Wellingborough Council, every stall on the town's Market Place now sports a brightly coloured solid roof.

The contract was given to Higham Flat Roofing who worked hard to complete the make-over in time for Christmas.

Roofing manager Mike Masters said: "Being a local company we were very pleased to carry out work locally and show people the quality of the work we do.

"Many of the stall holders have said how good and modern the market now looks and say it should attract more visitors."

The idea for the project came from Robert Vaughan of the land and property department at Wellingborough Council.
