TVNewser first spotted the amazing slimming down of TV host Katie Couric
through the skillful use of Photoshop. Other news organizations - like Gawker - credited TVNews, but not some of the big news outfits, like New York Daily News and the New York Post. Follow this greedy trail...

Are the New York Post and the New York Daily News embarrassed about getting scooped by a blogger? Both tabloids splashed Katie Couric's Photoshopped photo across their pages this morning, 24 hours after TVNewser first posted a story about it. The Daily News calls it "Katie's nip & tuck" while the Post calls it "Weighing Anchor."

But neither paper bothered to mention that the photos first surfaced on this blog. Are they embarrassed to credit a blog? Or do they want to fool their readers into believing they both coincidentally noticed the peculiar photo on the same day?
