Is this story the only one with total layout mess?

Yes - the blockquote is removed and that fixed it.

Thanks, Rachel, as I said I thought I had removed it from story. It was the video I embedded in my original story on my blog. I'll be sure to double-check my html if it happens again.

The request I'm trying to approve of a photo of mine being used on this site isn't working and said for me to contact the site administrator, how do I fix this?

Hi - please message me and let me know the details of your photo and the story is is meant to be used on, and I will see what can be done. Thank you.

How come when you upload a photo to your story it doesn't show up?

Nevermind, it showed up finally. just another time-waster.

You know I thought it was my computer, it takes me up to 15 - 20 minutes just to post a story on Now Public, including brief edits, and 6 photos to download. I went to my blog and another news group and the same story took only 3 minutes, Hence why perhaps something needs to be done about your software issues. When I post, the story, hangs and hangs in limbo waiting to post, where as other news media I post to is almost instantaneous, including photos. I gave up yesterday trying to update my Madrid Air disaster, as it took my entire lunch 30 minutes to update a few lines, as the Now Public software kept refusing my updates stating my post was being modified by another user. Finally I gave up and logged off.
You want stories. and I will provide, but not when it can take an hour of frustration to post 3 stories.
Where as before I could post double that, with opinions included.
A few similar media sites like Now Public have asked me to write op/eds for them, I have for a few, some ask me to do more. Dont get me wrong, I love Now Public, but as others have done before me, when frustration interacts with what we love to do, in writing, certainly a trouble free story and Op/Ed posting on other sites can be quite the enticement to leave Now Public, when requests to fix software glitches on Now Public go unheeded or unresolved.
This same issue has been raised by me for months, and Jordan has tried his best, with what Now Public software has to offer. Ya gotta go with what works, and this new software aint it.
So if Now Public wished to retain the Vets, perhaps a step in the right direction is in order.
Oh yes, by the way to offer of a few months ago and a second request as to the whereabouts of this offer to me for a free Now Public T shirt for agreeing to participate in Beta programs, surveys etc, has still to date turned out to be non existent promise at my doorstep.

I second everything Barry just said, except it took a whole hour just to add One Paragraph to an ongoing story and one graphic, and I still can't moderate the graphics/photos.
This has been going on for months. Only way is to see if anything actually loaded it to open another window, which puts a heavy load on the processor and internet connection.
Nor did I receive the promised Now Public tee shirt.
Why bother when to add new or original stories when the 'attack squad' is also allowed free reign, either. Too much propaganda.
the best part of NP is the world-wide discussion, but too many are allowed to promote their doom-saying prop. Seems there are lots of those who could be hacking the site too. All the unregulated swarming photos and vids from unverified and anonymous could be carrying viruses and trojans.

One can only hope this will get resolved, before it is too late for any of us........

Rene, what browser are you using? I use Firefox 3.0.1 and I very rarely have trouble doing anything at all. Now and then I've noticed that when I go to add original commentary on top of the highlight box a "pulsing line" on the right doesn't allow that, but it's easily fixed. I just publish it, then immediately hit the edit tab and go on with what I was doing. But that's only every now and then, and that's about the only trouble I've noticed here of late. Highlights load very fast, photos load smoothly, and all in all, things just are going zip-zip-zip.
Again, what browser? Have you cleared your cache recently? Has your security program or browser security recently changed anything in settings without telling you? You might want to check all your browser and security interfaces just as a precaution.
Good luck!

I've certainly noticed much longer delays since NP's recent 'site-enhancements' ...

It's the dropdown menu on the right. next to the headline, or if editing later down near the bottom on the right. they are different choices on the highlight and on the edit boxes.

Hello. I was trying to post a story last night and since I submitted it, I now cannot log in to NowPublic, using my regular log in, "clairej" The message I am getting says that I am not registered, or that ID is being blocked. Can someone please help me get my ID unblocked? Or do I have to create a new USER ID and work with NowPublic under a different user ID? Any assistance would be appreciated.

We are looking into it Did your story get flagged in any way before your account was blocked or deleted?

Hi Amy,
No, nobody flagged the story that I posted (that is right before my log in capability crashed). FYI, I was using the Highlight tool in IE. I copied a web page, thinking it was text only, but it got posted as a web page inside the story. A lot of HTML code showed up in the posted story. But then the story did NOT show on the NowPublic.com site. (It was a sports story on the Phillies win over the Dodgers to win the NLCS.)
So again, if you can unblock my account, I would appreciate it, and I continue being a contributor!

From what I can see, your accont wasn't blocked, it was deleted. I have no idea why, I'm sorry.
If you want to sign up again (although I'm sure that's not very helpful to you) it won't happen again!
Again, I'm sorry!

Amy:
Thanks for the info. I will re-sign up. It was a learning curve error, so I think too it will probably not happen again.
Regards.
