When you remove photo's from a story they are still stored on NP unless they have been deleted in the edit function on the actual photo.

It must be settings on my laptop. I cannot see any photos on nowpublic. Could somebody guide me on how to gain access to photos again?

You can find any photos you have on NP via your profile page, if you still have them you can add them to stories using the image search function on posts, you will need to add tags to the photos so as you have something to search for.
