Follow-up story

I'm trying to do a follow-up story on Alinghi and everytime I copy the story from genevalaunch on firefox it brings me back to the original posted story and closes out genevalaunch. How can I continue to update this story?

By "copy on Firefox" do you mean Highlight? If so, then that's Highlight's anti-duplication function. (Without that function, we'd have 100 identical stories from one, say, BBC article whenever a major event occurred)

The easiest way to update an existing story with material from a(n also) updated third-party site is to do so in the edit field of the NowPublic story. I just copy the bit I want to add, and include it in the NowPublic story, along with the Highlight commands.

Thanks, that is what I was going to do but I didn't know if it was acceptable.  It does come from the same source.

Regards,

Patricia

Actually this doesn't work because this is an announcement of the selection of the next Amerias Cup Race and I can't highlight it and enter it as a new article.  I would have to copy the story rather then highlight it.  I have added it to the original story, but it doesn't post to Sports again so really doesn't place it in the current news.  I'm going to start a new article and copy it adding the source it that is alright with you.
