This veteran Philly journalist thinks Arlen Specter knew much more about the JFK assassination than he ever publicly acknowledged.

Something he said to me years ago -- nothing definitive, just a telling comment after a press conference around the time of the release of the Oliver Stone movie "JFK" -- makes me think that.

After I had offered him a highly public opportunity to revise his public statements on his adherence to his "single bullet theory" confection, he later pulled me aside and said words that went something like this:

"You know, Victor, you have to remember -- it was a different time back then."

I was stunned, and had no comeback -- just silence, and a stare. But I remember thinking, "Whether it was then or now, it was still murder."

I thought then, and I think now, that Specter was haunted by the ghost of JFK. He had a conscience -- but was too cowardly, or fearful, to publicly employ it.

Kind of like the people who know that elements of the U.S. government and its military contractor "community" are silently torturing, impairing, force-sleeping, slow-killing THOUSANDS of extrajudicially targeted American citizens with a nationwide radio frequency weapon grid, and take no demonstrable steps to stop it.
