Does someone out there have a pipeline to Santa? 'cause what I want for Christmas is a Highlight Tool that works. It wastes so much time fooling around with the copy/paste.

What exactly is happening? Bear in mind that "it doesn't work" isn't a very helpful bug report- you're welcome to contact me for help, though.

The current difficulties with Highlight are:
- when the little 'eye' icon is clicked on, the boxes come up at the bottom of the page empty.
- if one choses to write the article using the empty boxes and use the copy/paste feature, when 'preview' button is clicked on, nothing happens. The solution that I have been using is to write up the article within the Highlight boxes and then do another copy/paste to the NP site. It is cumbersome and time consuming.
- sometimes the Highlight feature works as it should, then three minutes later it won't work at all. I can usually load one exerpt from Al Jazeera. I can usually not load from most other sites, including government sites.
- I've gone through the disable/enable sequence before. I have been unable to discern a pattern with regard to when Highlight will work properly or not, hence my appeal to Santa.

If you've selected text with the mouse and then clicked the Highlight button, and the Highlight text box comes up empty, try clicking the little quotes button (") above the text box.

Nope, that doesn't work either. I've noticed that usually if the Highlight feature is going to work, that the little arrow that goes in a circle at the beginning does a slight hesitation. If it's going to be as usual for me a blank, then it circles with no hesitation.
