I, too, am having issues: I'm using IE6 on Windows XP.
Eliud, which version of IE are you using, and which version of windows?
Did you reboot your machine after installing the Highlight tool?

I tried instaling on IE6, Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, without success. Please help.

Only Windows XP and Windows Vista are supported.

on both XP (IE6 & 7)and Vista (IE7), installation worked. With Vista, the first time I installed teh add-on I got an error message. I deleted the add-on from the desktop (where I happened to have downloaded it), restarted the machine and re-downloaded Hightlight- it worked fine.

Sounds like a great tool but I can't seem to get it onto my Internet Explorer (IE) running on Windows XP. I tried twice over the weekend. No button. I clicked on "Start" and "All Programs" and couldn't find any evidence that it was in there anywhere. If somebody will toss out a few more ideas, I'll try them out.

Highlight doesn't add a menu to the Start Menu, it only lives in the IE toolbar. It is possible that Highlight was installed properly but the button is not visible yet on the toolbar.

As I just told Jordan via e-mail, I tried again and now it works.
I probably hadn't shut down some IE windows somewhere (I always work having 40 windows on screen or so... ;)) the other time.
This time I clicked to download the Highlight sw, closed IE (but not the installation window! ;)) and went on with installation.
Currently trying my first highlight with something I've just read on CNN. :)
While this worked (see http://members.nowpublic.com/young-blogger-loses-battle-cancer for my first highlight) I have experimented another problem: I tried to highlight some news about the Space Shuttle from the NASA website.
I was sent to an article published by another contributor in June. Of course I'm not that user and I certainly don't want to remove / update that article (we are talking about two different Shuttle missions!). So, how do I do that? Is there a way to do it with the Highlight or do I have to publish it manually (is it a bug of the sw? I know it's still in Beta for IE...).

Highlight checks with the NowPublic server to see if the story you are publishing is already published. It uses the URL of the page you are highlighting as a basis for comparison. This causes problems when some sites have a bunch of different news on the same page, because if someone highlights one piece of news, then the other one can't be highlighted. If there is a way of clicking through to a page with just the story you want then that should work.
If we figure out a way to solve this you'll be the first to know.
