1. How do I delete a story?
2. Some of my reports consist entirely of audio. When I go to one of these, I have to click on something to be taken to the page where the audio plays. And I'm never sure what to click on that will get me there. I think other people are having problems with it too, since it appears that a lot more people go to the story's main page than to the audio. Is the audio supposed to show up on the story's main page? It should.
3. I didn't see a link to get to the forum. I just guessed and wrote in /forum to find my way here. Is there a link I missed?

Sometimes I can't add an mp3. A message says something like somone else has made changes to the story and new changes can't be made. I wrote this in an email that wasn't answered and I thought the problem was over. When it's happened before I was able to post the next morning--but I'd prefer to do it when the news is new.

I'm sorry we didn't see this before. I will direct Jordan to this posting as he will be the better one to help you answer these questions.
Sorry about that!

1. Stories and media can be deleted by their creator by clicking on the Edit tab (above the headline/title) and selecting Delete at the bottom of the screen.
2. Clicking on the little arrow plays the audio footage. Make sure you give it a few moments after uploading so that our playback system has a chance to render it.
3. The link to the Forum is accessible at the top of every NowPublic page, via the Newsroom link, next to the grey Home button.

Thanks, when the full screen appears, it's easy to click and get it to play. But often there's a smaller rectangle instead, where I assume the audio is supposed to be but with a little x in the corner as if something's wrong. Clicking on an arrow there seems hit or miss.
I just tried to link a photo from Flicker through NowPublic but I couldn't see a place to click to put the picture on the page with my audio, so I closed out the page. Parts of the instructions looked like they were missing or overlapping. Is this only happening to me?

I presume you're talking about the Footage tab, in which you can delete or reorder the media elements attached to your story. This screen isn't meant for playback, though.

Today I used the search term Tap Dancing News to list my audio stories and they all came up--but then they disappeared and a message said that nothing matched my search term. I did this several times with the same result. Weird things like that happen all the time.
When I do get a story to come up, the audio is not on that page, just a small gray box that looks like it should contain audio but doesn't. I click on something and another page comes up with a similar box and I have to click on something again and finally the page with the audio comes up, with a very different look than the previous boxes. I don't understand why the page with the audio doesn't come up immediately.
I am using Internet Explorer 7 with Vista and I don't know if that has something to do with it.
