How to stop advertising on the threads or at least cull it!

I have notice that non members are placing adverts on the threads. I suggest stopping their ability of placing HTML links and only allowing them to comment will eradicate this growing problem.

Thank you! That is a very interesting idea.

Tina,

On a related issue... what happened to the idea of making it possible for members to derive revenue from advertising by advertisers that meet the members' (and NowPublic's) standards, perhaps on a revenue-sharing basis, as is done by many other sites?

Also... the comments sections would be much more useful if the MOST RECENT postings appeared first, not last.  Is there a way to do this?

I think NP would be better if ALL threads showed most recent comments first instead of last.  The way it is now requires extra time and effort to keep up with recent postings.

Could you take up these issues with the NP decision-makers?

As always, thanks.

I am glad you thought so, I have a new idea to make it easier for the editors.

Why not have a drop dow report option on the comments box, such as...

Report the following.

_____________________

Advertising (if you still leave in the links option)

Policy infringement

_____________________

When flagged the comment is placed on an audit list for editors and staff to look at.

You could also put a similar option above each article to report advertising. etc.
