Whenever I try to highlight an article on genevalunch.com using Firefox it keeps bringing up an old story on the death of a British composer. How do I resolve this.
Generally what this means when this happens is that the URL of the story you are trying to publish has been previously highlighted from for a story on the site.
If you provide the URLs I can have a look but this is usually why this happens.
Amy this is not the problem. I can't highlight any article on this site. Since I use this as one of my sources it is a problem for me. I've put a notice in here before about this problem. http://genevalunch.com
The article I wanted to highlight was not previously highlighted on NP, nor were the others and some were articles that I could have put up before other news channels.

So when you try to highlight from the same main page of Geneva Lunch for another story, the site will redirect to your composer story, because that URL has already been used and the way we avoid duplication from the same URL is to direct from a previous story.
If you want to highlight from that site, you have to click on the actual news story from Geneva Lunch to open it up.

Amy I'll try it again, but I did not try to highlight the journal title. I only highlighted the story. And went through this before when I brought this up here.
I think you are right, I must have mistakenly highlighted the title alone with the story. I tried the other day to highlight just the story even without the title of the story and I got the same results. But I just did it again and this time it worked.

No actually, it is what I thought it was.
See your story here:
http://my.nowpublic.com/culture/british-composer-sir-edward-downes-wife-die-swiss-clinic
The source for your highlight there is:
http://genevalunch.com/

If you want to highlight from that site, you have to click on the actual news story from Geneva Lunch to open it up.
For example:
http://genevalunch.com/2009/10/06/aid-workers-head-for-southern-india-as-floods-leave-25-million-homeless/#more-29324
so that the URL is different even though the site is still Geneva Lunch.
It's like highlighting from the main page of the BBC - you can do it once, and then you can't do it again.
I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for your help.

No worries, as long as you are on the URL of the story itself and not on the main home page, it should work fine.
