I think it would be a good idea for members to be able to moderate the footage and photos added to their pieces before they appear on their articles. That is, approve added materials before they appear.
Someone has just added a photo to a piece of mine that's not remotely related to the story. I removed it, but I would have liked to be able to choose to approve it before it appeared.

I need some help moderating footage, photos that keep being added to a story I wrote weeks ago. I can't load the story, just get a blank page not matter how I go about it, different browsers, links, etc. Can't load the footage list either. and don't dare follow link to 'approve added footage' as it automatically approves it, no chance to review as the email notice promises, and don't want it added to story or my blog.
The added photos to story is probably overloading NP site. I don't know how people find it.
some seem to have just joined to upload another photo. You guessed it Coca-Cola!

I would really like to access it and delete most of the photos, so at least it will load, Whatever.

That's a good thought. Since most of us are just volunteers, we aren't around for office hours of any type. I've had some appalling things added to stories. Deleting a few hours later sometimes just doesn't work.
It's all too easy for someone who wants to attack someone's work, or disrespect it, or just play games, to slap any form of photo/videos/graphics on their work. If we could have a way to say, create our own short list of who could add material without our approval, but require approval from anyone not on the list, it would help everyone. A short list of those who can add material will help NP with crowdsourcing; keeping it short helps the individual contributor who'd like the assurance of knowing that quality, related material will be added.
Any other ideas?

Photos and footage can also have some hidden viruses and trojans in them. which is really dangerous to the site and anyone viewing same.
So please make this a priority! particularly suspicious should be anyone just joined, just uploading a photo or video or two. Can their contribution be moderated before being posted? I have all comments moderated on my blogs. They do not get posted till approved. I know this would add extra work, but (trusted) authors could function in this regard.
I know this is tricky, but NP gets lots of SPAM, lots of worldwide attention and needs some security against infection. I know I would be grateful and willing to be actually able to approve photos, etc. to go on NP site.

I also get emails that something has been added, with no icon or member name attached, or with a member whose profile won't load. What's that all about? But doesn't take me to the added photo or video. That seems highly suspicious, and whatever added highly suspicious too. These are the types I'd like to delete. Since they are possible carriers and usually don't add to the story.

I can load my story page now.
But still can't access the footage page or the moderate page. Just
get blank slate/page, and the view source has absolutely nothing on it.
not one little bit of code. blank. Don't dare try to load a slideshow from it. there's almost 600 photos. really like to delete many of them. despite the draw. any that have a blank, or no icon will be gone. If I can ever get on the page. even if it takes hours.
