Most page views on a story?

Is there any way to tell which story has had the most page views on NowPublic? If there isn't, what is the most page views you have ever had and what was the story?

I've had nearly 6000 page views on this story (posted 24 hours ago):

... and I'm getting about 300 new views an hour!

How many page views a story gets depends on many factors, such as how appealing the story's headline is, how much interest there is in the story among members, whether it has been shared on social bookmarking sites, whether people are actively searching online for the story and how well it performs in search engines.

Probably one of the most popular stories ever on NowPublic was this one about a sippy cup, which became a national issue in the US: http://my.nowpublic.com/nightmare_at_reagan_national_airport_a_security_story_to_end_all_security_stories

Nonetheless other stories about big breaking news events also perform really well.

I'd add, however, that while page views are important as a way of gauging the popularity of your story, so are good comments, the extent to which people have recommended it, etc.

I'm still really curious as to what the record is for the most viewed story. The link you left didn't take me to the story you mentioned. Mine has now reached 12000 page views and keeps getting about 100-200 an hour. I haven't found another one on the site that is anything close to that. I realize this is a little bit self centered, but it is rather exciting to see so many people reading what you post and I am most curious as to the record..lol. Is there a story with more than 15000 views? Is there any way to search by views?
