Hey everyone,
Let us know what you think of the new NowPublic.
Thanks,
You have a totally wild sense of humour, PEP. :)
How cool! Happy Birthday, BigT! :) Keep walking tall in those boots!
Great idea! After all, we have many "unbirthdays" (and a Very Merry Unbirthday to you, to you!), but only one birthday each year.
Last year, I threw a Very Merry Unbirthday party for all the members of my favorite club. We don't celebrate birthdays throughout the year, so I planned a big Unbirthday party. We won tiaras and ate lots of cake and ice cream and played a silly "white elephant" gift passing around game.
It was a hoot!
Ah, you caught it. The dog didn't bark! ;}
Guilty as charged. My friends tell me that inside the writer they think there's a standup comedian that sneaks out every now and then.
I liked your old logo. Otherwise great work, Nifty all the way around

It's cluttering up the internet
for no apparent good reason and to
the detriment of NP.
Can it be modified/removed so that
it ceases to clutter up the internet
for no good reason and to the detriment
of NP?

Wow that acts like spam with all those tags attached to it & almost knock out my browser. Does it even show a photo anyone - I didn't get one to come up!
Nice catch
A question, Amy Judd --what does someone do when the site doesn't reveal a prior story? Sometimes people get mad when their story doesn't get flagged or something, and another story was on the front page. To faciliate discussion, I did a search, in the box at the top of the page, for robot barman. The search engine only returned the current story on the front page--it did not return the story that you linked to.
t does get confusing, when the search engine doesn't work, and when a member can't see that an article has been posted before.

I am looking into what's going on right now. If I find anything I'll post a new forum topic.
So members can no longer post new forum topics? Thanks so much for your time and efforts.
I believe that you have to have at least a 'wrangler' status in order to create a forum topic.
Since, as you know, Amy, I've declined that cowboy hat, I suppose then I shall no longer create forum topics. Ah, well.

How kind of you--thanks again for your time and effort.
Yes, everchanging.
But where's the NP response and corrective action?

Can you also get this dealt with please:

That links to a 'page not found'. What was it supposed to link to?

Thanks for a rare response from a member of the NP inner circle
to a meaningful and constructive question.
The piece in question was a non-visible jpg with an encyclopaedic list of tags attached that seemed to want to include every topic known to humankind and then some.
The result for anyone stumbling upon this non-story was protracted browser freeze.
As it has now become 'Not Found' it would appear someone at NP has dealt with this rogue non-article to some extent.
Is that the case, amyjudd?
