The NowPublic website is featuring Gazamom, whose 'tweets' on Twitter use tinyulr's that link to Israeli mainstream right-wing and other propaganda news articles that have no relationship to Gaza parenting.
Here an example of a two of 'Gazamom' tweets up on NowPublic now:
- IHT: #Gaza kids brainwashed into thinking #Israel to blame- yeah that's why, not the f-16s bombs and genocidal policies 7:34 AM Jan 24th from web.
- H Clinton: #Israel has right to self-defense, Palestinians are stupid if they think they should exercise theirs http://tinyurl.com/au6rql 10:53 AM Jan 27th from web.
Is this the direction that NowPublic is taking in the interest of Citizen Journalism? Those interested in curtailing the use of CJ sites such as NowPublic from offensive propaganda that is as well an offensive exploitation of women and their rights (see profile picture and tweets as subtitles to see the exploitation), speak up, act up, to nip the degradation of both NowPublic and Palestinian women in the bud.I
If you the reader find the NowPublic.com Gaza page featured Twitter Imposter 'Gazamom' and picture to be exploitative and offensive to women - petition the staff and moderators at NowPublic NOW to REMOVE 'Gazamom' from NowPublic now.

No, I would like it to remain as an Opinion, if that is possible. You may add a forum link if you wish to conceal some of the feedback from your main readership, although I see no need for that. This is a rather open general opinion that will help Citizens' avoid the traps of mainstream media. Thanks.
Gazamom is news from and about the online Citizen Journalism and Web2.0 world.

As the writer of the Opinion concerning the infiltration of CJ by cyber-misinformation lobbies, a post that was vetoed and moved, I beg to differ, strongly, with AmyJudds characterization of 'news' as exempting CJ and NP as newsworthy. This is reminiscent of Time-Warner, FOX and Sky mainstream newsgathering veto power.
As CJ is cultivating a sense of openness, and inclusiveness, and with that, a new sense of believability, NP is in danger of promoting an image of openness and a policy of veto closure.
AmyJudd, what is not 'news' or 'opinion' rather about CJ (and NP is a leader in CJ) and the infiltration of cyber-misinforming lobbies?

THIS IS NOT A FORUM TOPIC.
A.J.Liebling wrote: "Freedom of the press belongs to those who own one."
NP is no exception. This post was Opinion that is timely and topical.CJ of which NP is a leader is valid opinion, even newsworthy (although I opted for NP Opinion). Why? CJ for Web2.0 readers and the new and often paid (i.e. Jerusalem Center posts on NP) misinformation posts appearance is definitely newsworthy, There is nothing personal about this.
NP's 'veto' of my Opinion and liquidation into the dusty corners of a We1.0-styale Forum exposed the danger facing CJ editorial policy.
The credibility that platforms like NP enjoy makes them great targets for organized cyber-propagandists. NP can only expose these 'news worms' by examining credentials: I a poster being paid to post, yes or no? Is a poster afiliated with a known misinformation grou, as many featured NP Gaza poster apparently are?
What is news as NP policy states but does not outline? Is CJ nt news? Is infiltration of CJ by the new generation of cyber-spies and militiary intelligence agencies not news?
To veto my Opinion is to iscredit CJ. It is in fact the beginning of the end of the credibility enjoyed by NP, and will in time - look at NP Gaza in the past hourse - turn NP into another link to paid military information agencies. Right now these agencies are attracted to CJ and NP as it has credibility due to its 'image' as open and inclusive.
Actually it is not, as the veto of my Opinion bears out. This makes NP part of the news problem and far from the news future solution. The image of NP is with its unexplained and condescendin veto of my Opinion shows that it only allows mainstream mass media (ie Fox, Sky, CNN, etc.) dissenters to lift the news lid and add a pinch of salt to news policy makers vested interest in the status quo that is pretends to be an alternative to. The dissenters are exploited (not to mention Palestinian women in Gazamom) in the interests of adding credibility to the masive push in military information to penetrate CJ sites for the very reason that they have a great amount of credibitity.
This makes NP very dangerous indeed. This makes NP nothing more than in-the-end a link, and very credible and useful aid to military intelligence paid infiltration of the blogosphere and Web2.0 user-generated content platforms.
NP is like the mainly Republican Hollywood producer's corporate front that finally decided to finish and release Michael Moore's 911 film which reaped 228 million. hat film was a catharsis that actually helped W. get re-elected. It was critical but moderately so, not condemning. As such the film acted as a catharsis, lending the Bush administration a measure of credibility and self-criticality that made them more appealing, without actually exposing their criminality. Such a catharsis, like lifting the lid on a boiling pot, allowed the audience to let of some steam and that sense some sort of accountability and openness and therefore credibility that helped W. get re-elected.
NP is also only lifting the lid and if the lid is actually removed, that would not be useful to the paid lobby, military and government bloggers having their sources, which are in-credible, appear amongst some NP 'acceptably critical' and therefore not vetoed Opinions and News, lending the misinformation false credibility.
That is not CJ. NP's veto of my Opinion is a sad day in CJ.
