Hello all,
Back to work today after 3 days absence.
Have a look at this link:
http://www.nowpublic.com/admin/flagging
You should be able to get in with your current credentials.
Let me know if you have any problems.
Please let me know if your flagging bubbles appear on the story titles.
IMPORTANT: please try to click on the links at the right of the page. You SHOULD NOT be able to click through. If you can, please let me know urgently.
WE'll be addling some functionality to this in the next few days.
Please provide any feedback, suggestions, etc.

- Flagging bubbles shows up on hover over story title.
- There are no links on the right of the pafge (aside from the username of the story author, which does link with the user's profile page)
- What's a "good member"?

I got an email from a member whose story I flagged asking me to "release [his/her] story". Can they access their own incomplete posts?
at 10:55 on March 2nd, 2007
Also, would it be possible to search within the flagging page for certain members, rather than hunting page-by-page?

Good questions, all.
1. To go back to the original story and comment, click on the headline itself on the Admin Flagging page.
2. I am not sure you have that power, but you can see if you do. It's outlined in the Editors' User Guide, btw.
On any place where you can see a mamber name as a link (like on the home page, or anywhere there is a list of stories, hover over the linked membername. Can you see a bubble arising? If so, at the bottom of the bubble, there might be a link that says, "Good Member." Try clicking on it.
Close the bubble and reopen it. If the "Good Member" is greyed out and next to it there is a "Revoke" link, you have the power.
I use this feature quite sparingly. Essentially it "whiteboards" the member and promotion in the side panels, the photos at the top, etc., are much more apparent.
If any of you have not been Good Membered, please let me know asap and I will check.

That's a feature I have recently requested. As for now, you can click on the member name in the Admin Flagging tool, which will take you to their memberpage, and then from there you should be able to click on the "Track" tab.

when I mouse over my own name, nothing happens.
Also, I figured out how to rearrange the posts by contributor name... I'm just that brilliant.

Jordan, you're a good member...actually I think I just made you a good member.
Float over your name in the by-line of a story. You should see a bubble pop up with some things like profile, good member, revoke, etc. (Just checked this...I don't think you cna see your own bubble, as I cannot see one for myself)
As for rearranging, I was just going to mention that...the sort function is nice!

Jordan, you cannot mark yourself as a Good Member, that's why you don't see it over your own name, as BD suggests above.

BD, how did you generate this list??? I've never seen it before.
Some of these should be revoked, I can see.

Maybe this page also needs the ability to identify by who the flagger was...?

I went to the new admin link http://www.nowpublic.com/admin/flagging and clicked the user tab. This shows all the good members. When I floated over Jordan he was not a good member yet, when I clicked his name and he became a good member I saw him pop to the top of the list with the date/time I clicked good member.
I was playing when I found it, Jordan became the guinne pig. :)

AWESOME!
I knew I could track my comments via the "track" tab under my username, but I was getting annoied with not rememebing when I posted a comment and if the person had responded to a flag/comment/etc -today I just had someone comment after me and saw that you can see if there is any new comments.
I'm glad to see one thing that was driving me nuts was really just me!
Editors: if you don't know what I am talking about, while signed in go to "my page" and click the "track" tab. You can see newsroom topics and stories you have commented on or flagged. Just like the forum if someone replied to you or just commented in-line with the story, you'll see "new".
If you knew that already, just ignore me!
