Justin hails from Birmingham, MI and you may know him by his NP handle, Babblingdweeb. His resume is amazing - lots of tech and editorial skills - I am encouraging him to update his profile, but let me make do now with his own self-description:

Denise Royal - Miami

Denise helped us enormously in setting up our Miami bureau, using her incredible news experience from her stints at Good Morning America, MSNBC, NBC News, and many others. She's got a personality that would light up the darkest room - and during a news crisis, manages to get herself at the front lines (the most recent being getting to the Hollywood hospital where Anna Nicole Smith recently died). Delighted to have Denise in our group.

Gabriel Stein  - gobzee  Stockholm

Gabriel (aka gobzee) holds down our "Stockholm Bureau" and is presently working in merchant banking. In his own words, "I have been freelance writing since the beginning of 2005. I have been published in The International Herald Tribune, The Star Ledger and Transitions Abroad, among others. I have also published a wide range of articles for various web publications in both the U.S. and Europe, from travel and sports to study guides and nutrition."  Gabriel is married with a young child and we look forward to his participation.

Jordan Yerman  - Vancouver

Jordan has a phenomenal background in film as a  screenwriter, producer, and actor. But that's apparently not enough - Jordan is also a novelist and wait? - what's this - another resume??? It now appears he also has a completely separate existence in computing and business management, with a post graduate degree from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art.

I'm Matte, Matt Eliason, from Australia. Yeah my profile if you look at it is slack - I'm mainly into marketing now, plenty of internet based stuff, but have experience as a journo, so tend to be skewed to news stuff rather than opinion. I really like first person reports and those where peopel can add new information or perspective to existing stories - this I feel is where the growth with AP lays. (That's my marketing hat talking!)

I have a huge distain for reposters of mainstream news who provide no additional input, comment etc - little more than spammers in my eyes.

Empoyment in media - I have worked on regional newspapers, been acting editior of a small newspaper, (with a 7 minute handover from the outgoing editor on the tarmac before they flew away... talk about dropped in the deep end...) and written freelance. During uni, any assignments would be sent to magazines as well, so the lecturer could say, that was a B+, and I could retort with "plus $300 from XYZ magazine!" So much of uni was paid for writing and taking photos for the articles.

I have interviewed some famous people, and in a role as a seniour govt media person written speeches for state ministers (parliament) plus all the stuff that goes with those sorts of jobs.

The future is really exciting an I am pleased to be part of the evolution of NP and citizen media.

Communication has always been, as some would say, “my thing,” by nature and by culture.  From the time I would run away as a little girl from home only to be found conversing with a neighbor, to the time I hosted a radio program at the age of 14 and to the time I wrote award-winning articles for my college student newspaper.  God has guided me down this path of the curious and the communicative.  When I began Miami Dade College at the age of 15, the first thing I told my advisor was, “I want to report news. What do I major in for that?”  Three years later, I graduated with an Associate in Art’s degree in the beautiful field of journalism.  Then, I transferred to the university my eye had been on ever since I learned a Bachelor’s degree was necessary to work in the professional world.  Now, I am 19 and I have one year left of school.  My American side kept me dedicated to my career and my Brazilian ethnicity kept me passionate.  But most importantly, I thank God for opening many doors which cause my resume to be overloaded.

I am a Senior News Editor and Forum Moderator for CommonGroundCommonSense which grew out of the Kerry Campaign Internet Town Hall. I am also a foreign news editor for a think tank in Washington DC called the Committee for the Republic. My bio page will tell you the rest of my professional career. I tend to post mainly political news commentary in the fields of foreign affairs, national security, military matters, energy, and politics.
