NP Rank:
Your Request Is an Invitation
Back to that tried-and-true party metaphor: Each time you Crowd Source from Flickr, you’re inviting that person to the party. Now it’s your job to make sure the party is a good time. In other words, everything you write and how you phrase your request says something about NowPublic. Represent!
This ain’t no one night stand, either: For those who are not yet members of NowPublic, accepting your invitation to share their photo means they become part of the site and the community.
So what does this look like to them? When you send out your request, the recipient will reveive an email to their flickr account that looks like this:
And then they’ll be directed to a web page that shows them which photo you’ve requested, and puts it in context with your story.
By making sure their photo “fits”, you honor the good work they (and you!) have done.
