Get Yourself into the Search Engines
We've studied the way stories run around on the web just the way a meteorologist studies the weather. We've done a lot of research on this, and we've built some technology that's a lot like the wind - you can't see it, but boy, can it ever move things along. A good example of this is our "autotagging" function.
Tags are quickly becoming the fuel that drives search engines. Tags, properly used, can make a world of difference in the way your stories gain visibility. So we take tags very seriously. In fact we have a whole section on tags. If you want to see it now, please do.
Highlight is smart enough to analyze the words you have quoted. There's a bunch of interesting technology going on here - like, knowing that Tokyo or Japan, are places and not like other tags.
Notice the tags that have been discovered. Some are in yellow. These are the ones that have been automatically entered into the Tags box (directly above), your final choices. If you use Highlight in Firefox, you may also notice the + sign. If you click on this, you can join tags together (this can have a huge impact on how others find your story). Get your posts noticed in the great plains of the blogosphere by getting more views, more collaboration and powerful perks like autotagging. Be our guest, and go play in the wind
If you want to go play in the wind, be our guest.
