Publishing Tips & Tricks
Quoting: Pick part of the story you are viewing and scan it for the one or two sentences that will give your readers the most complete sense of what you found important. When you click the QUOTE button, it will import it into the story box. This is the essence of Highlighting. It's "getting the essential bits."
Headline: Highlight is often smart enough to identify the original headline - but before accepting it, think about making it catchier - it's the party invitation to your story.
Story Box: You can do some pretty cool things here. If you have already chosen what to Highlight, you can decide whether to add your own thoughts before or after it. You can do both. The

Auto Tags: We have built some smart technology that actually analyzes the text you have "quoted" and then automatically extracts interesting things like nouns and proper nouns, even locations. It's pretty amazing.
These auto tags show up in blue. If you want to add them to your custom tags, click on the actual tag. It'll change colors to yellow and it will show-up in your Tags heading. You can add/erase whatever tags you want in the Tags heading by clicking on the highlighted ones. You can see how you can toggle them in or out. It's your choice.
You can also ask it to "refresh" its choices. Sometimes it helps to do this - experiment away!
Ready To Publish?
Click "Publish". The tool will think for a short bit and respond with this:
The choices here are very straightforward: you can add photos by clicking on the yellow button, or see how it looks right now. Whichever you choose, you will always be able to add images and video at a later time. In this example, at the right you'll notice that the story has been posted to the user's blog, "The Red Dot".
Uploading And Associating Images
Now you can upload your own footage, if you want, or browse through the extensive gallery of images that other contributors have provided using our Crowd Power tool. You can upload from your computer, browse our library or use your mobile phone to upload images.
