Was sent a link from Newsvine today from a person we contacted about using their photos. Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Greg, we would love to use your photos anytime...we dig your stuff. We are launching a brand new design of the property in the next few weeks...any feedback is welcome. We are always striving to be better. And hey, wouldn't you rather be in Phoenix anyway this time of year? :)
NPers, would be great to let Greg know that you actually love our stuff. Post a comment and tell him how you feel about this. Link is here:
UGGH. Its hideous. It also thinks its cool by telling me the weather in Oxford where i live. UGGH.nowpublic.com DIE.
LONG LIVE NEWSVINE!!

Hi, I'm one of the guys who commented on the article. I actually have been a Newsvine user for a while, but a liked a few things about your site:
WYSIWYG Editor
Media
Firefox Extension
BTW, the quote is by Callum Scott, not Greg.
And nice reply by your founder (even some of us Viners liked it!)

Leonard, looks like you latched onto a good thing here. Sites like this will be popping up all over the place. Loyalty is a great thing as long as it goes both ways. I will concentrate on Newsvine for a long as I see promise. This site shows some innovative thinking that should help its success. Good luck. Will be seeing you around.

I like Newsvine, but NowPublic is so much more substantial. Commenting on AP Feeds doesn't seem so innovative to me. I read NV every now and then but I really rely on my interesting stuff from NP. I can't wait for the new redesign!
I also don't think NV and NP compete. NP is really more of a Reuters equivalent and not a virtual 'newspaper'

Online Apps...thanks for your reply. I know it was Callum who said it...I just wanted to Greg to feel guilty! :) Nah...I just copied the wrong part of the article!! Either way glad you like some of what we are doing. Your feedback is really appreciated.
We are big fans of Newsvine as well.

Yeah, the one thing I like about Newsvine better is that it pays. I don't know if NP pays, does it?
