In the communiqué which was read by Prof Pat Utomi, the Coalition enumerated what they described as “some of the illegalities and irregularities.” The Coalition claims that Andy Uba, the PDP governorship candidate in Anambra State got 1.9 million votes although there are 1.84 million registered voters in Anambra. They also claimed that elections did not take place in Anambra State. The Coalition also claimed that more people voted in Rivers State than are registered in Lagos State.

The Coalition claims that more people voted for two candidates in Sokoto State than were registered to vote in the State. Also, according to the Coalition of Opposition Presidential Candidates and Political Parties, “It is absurd for election results to be announced by INEC Headquarters even while collation was still going on in Akure, Ondo State, and voting was yet to be completed in Delta.”
