March 19, 2007 Virginia - Smoldering fireplace ashes likely sparked a fire that badly damaged a home Sunday afternoon, fire officials said. Firefighters were called to the Whaleyville section of Suffolk about 12:40 p.m. to find flames at the rear of a home on Freeman Mill Road.
