Patti Schmidt fired from CBC. Brave New Waves Cancelled?

i just heard that Patti Schmidt got fired from cbc and that they possibly cancelled Brave New Waves and are trying to base most ov their broadcasting from Vancouver (!??) me and Dave are just discussing how essential a show like Brave New Waves is. Montreal and Toronto, heck even Halifax is where the up and coming music scene is based NOT Vancouver. don't get me wrong, i love the west coast but it just isn't the best place to be in touch with all the new bands and record labels coming out. neways, anyone out there who liked the show and understands how beneficial it is to young artists and bands should write to cbc.
