* NEWS - FRESHLY SQUEEZED FROM AFRICA *

I am a freelance journalist, travel writer and photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. Being originally form The Netherlands, I grew up in Angola and Rwanda, and furthermore lived in Israel, the US (Michigan and New York) and finally made my way to South Africa in 2004. I was supposed to stay here for 6 months max, but I guess that somewhere down the line I got hooked.

The field of journalism has been my domain for the past six to seven years. I love to write. It is like breathing: I need to do it in order to stay alive. The same counts for photography. Needless to say that I feel privileged that I have been able to turn my two passions into a career.

Anyway - to keep a semi-long story semi-short: My stories published on Now Public will main revolve around Africa - the place that captured my heart and nurtured my soul.
